Ref. circuit
Hi everybody
I have some questions, I hope to find answers from yor experiences
I am working on R134 chiller with water cooled condenser and flooded evaporator (water in pipes and ref outside), also on other chillers with R22 with air cooled condenser and DX evaporator(ref in pipes and water outside)
I can not determine how much to be the condenser and evaporator approach, what difference between R134 and R22 and how it is relating to the type of evaporator and condenser.
Also how I determine the cond press and temp regarding to atmosphare or water temperature, the same for the evaporator
Discharge temp how relates to condenser temp
please help

Re: Ref. circuit
I am not sure that I understand what you are asking for. Do you want to be able to measure these values on a system that is operating or do you want to know general values for sizing or troubleshooting?
Generally, for sizing equipment, we use 10F or 5K for the approach in the evaporator or water cooled condenser and 20-25F or 12-15K for the approach in the air cooled condenser.
These are general numbers and specific equipment can need different numbers.
