    Annular flow



    What is annular flow and how does it affect the heat transfer capabilities of the evaporator? Can this help to cut down on defrost cycles and maximizes heat transfer throughout the evaporator?

    I can't answer your question Shogun but came across this paper:-

    which has some rather good photos of the flow through an evaporator.
