Ariston Fridge/Freezer problem

Hi,
having problems with an Ariston freestanding fridge/freezer and hope that someone can help me.

It is about 4 yrs old and is supposed to be frost free, but despite regular defrosting, the freezer regularly frosts up, also the bottom of the fridge has been cold that it is now part freezing things in the vegetable try. The thermostat hasn't been changed.

Can anyone suggest what the problem maybe?

Hi Simon,
frost frees have defrost heaters in freezer section and generally the fridge section relies on off cycle defrosts etc., if fridge section is too cold and freezing things, would indicate a possible thermostat fault which in turn frosts up freezer section because of long run cycles.
Hopefully unit has five year warranty and get supplier to sort it out.

Thanks Magoo, turns out that is slightly older than 4 yrs and is out of warranty. Any idea how much replacing the thermostat is likely to cost?
