LEC Upright freezer model U950WS
Hello
I have a LEC upright freezer which is about 10 years old.
When I defrost the freezer, water drips from a wire which runs into the top compartment from the insulation on the top of the machine. When I removed the top cover I found that the insulation at the top of the machine is very wet and that is where the drip is coming from. Can I just let this insulation dry out (will probably take days). It doesn't look like I can remove it to replace it.
Also the spongy insulation has a silver foil/cardboard covering which has perished. Can I just replace with some silver foil. OR is the answer, to go and buy a new unit. Thanks for reading. Geoff.
