    Re: Control Panel

    Hi Abe.

    QSG is main isolator.
    QM1 is compressor overload
    KM1 is compressor contactor
    QM2 is fan overload
    KM2 is fan contactor
    QM7 is "0" protector
KT1 is a timer most probably short cycle protection
KA2 is a control relay and so is the other.

the control box is not connected to the mains, why?

Thats what I can see from here (4500KM away)

    Does it help?

    Hi Chem,

You did a brilliant job analysing the photo, from far away. !!!
I need to take in what youve put down............
How did you manage to read the stuff on the devices???
You must have eyes like an eagle !!

    The system is not connected.......

I disconnected it, the compressor is not working,

You would make a very good sleuth.........( detective !!! )

    Re: Control Panel

Now on the existing set up, if I lost a phase, would QM1 trip and shut the compressor down??

I think Im confused between what a phase protection device is and what a overload device is

Are the both the same? Can they both do the same job?

My eyes are not so good but my reading glasses are as thick as a Coca-Cola glass bottle's bottom.

    Its prety clear Abe.
If you want to add a phase sequence protector, connect it after the main isolator and from the QM7 take the "0" through the NC contacts.

    That should do the job.

Forgot to mention, I use photoshop to play with the picture
