The new Grasso V series reciprocating compressor
Hi Guys
I wondered if anybody had seen or had any experience of the new Grasso V series compressor?
Reading the article from the Grasso website in the news section the principle is based on TCO - Total Cost of Ownership for the end user.
The whole top end assembly looks to be changeable as a complete unit. I assume the compressor controller module monitors the operating conditions of pressure, temperature, safety failures and run hours to calculate the maintenance required.
Would be interesting to know more?
Sturt.

Re: The new Grasso V series reciprocating compressor
It looks like they start with the 4 and 6 cylinder models. Maybe its frequency converter drive only, since the max. speed is 1200rpm.
Does anyone have some more info on it other than whats on their website?

I had the oppertunity to see the V serie in operation. Personelly i was surpriced about the nice constant heat on the crankcase area and head temperature. I expect a nice product.
