hi guys ,
need some info on the 974 controller i see it is available in 12/240 volt looking at the wireing diagram does this mean that the display is just powered by the 12 volts on one unit and the outputs are swicthing 240v i.e compresser/fans /etc
could anyone please enlighten me to way that they both work please

that is the case the control circuit is extra low voltage with 240 v switching.

The low voltage is the power to the unit; it could also be the higher voltage...

The switch contacts are all normally voltage free, they are just switching your control wires.

Hi Paul.
As the guys state the power supply for the unit is 12 volts. A.C. or D.C.
Whereas the switched voltage is as necessary upto 240v. please open the attached for wiring details.

The only caution i would have is to use an additional relay or contactor for each of your loads to protect the relay contacts in the controller itself..

The 974 controller is available in either 12V or 240 VAC, You have to make the choice when buying the unit.

The contacts are non-voltage contacts, just NO and NC with a max current.

A 12V unit needs an external transformer of at least 3VA.

i have the problame of id 974 230v. wiring ill do the wiring but compressor indigator only showing line is not their

If LED light is programmed correctly and contact doesn't close, then relay is broken.

Some questions:
is this a new unit?
If not, did it worked properly till last week/last days?
Was it installed long time?
What's the HP and start current of the connected compressor?

Hi there!

These were the best controllers ever made!I still have loads of them in the field +/- 175.I have had X2 eproms in X2 units fail out of 175 fail.Good success rate.The trick is use relays or contactors to switch all loads via the controller.

think you have answered your own question there. depends what one your used to,once you can figure them out thre all good.
