    2 Stage unit blowing

I was asked this at the weekend wen a bit out of it which didn't help matters. Bassicly it's a 2 stage unit, R507 to R1150, 2 compressers.

The 1st stage fire up fine and pull down to temp then the 2nd starts and pulls to temp fine, both stages running fine.

Soon as any load is put on the system from idel bang it trips out and trips the mains RCD.

It has been fine but randomly started doing this.

The unit is run off an externsion lead, could this be at fault or is it doggy house hold electricals as it has worked fine in 3 different places!

It's a 240v single phase on each compresser

Unsure as to why the unit should trip when 'loading up' as it must already be loaded when it starts.

However, yes check the power supply.

It's a cooling unit for the CPU of a PC. 260W heat load is whats put on the system once running. The load it's cooling can't be there till the evap ia at -100c cos the PC/CPU will blow and then need to pay £1000 for a new one!
