    Thumbs down Henry Ball valves

    Hi all

Anyone experienced a high number of leaking Henry Ball Valves ,not older ones but new ones installed to spec .
The valve is recognised to leak from the stem of the valve ,therfore the only form of leak prevention is via the secondary seal between the brass cap and the valve body.
    Anyone else had this?.

    regards mark

    Re: Henry Ball valves

Is this because it is going to cost them a fortune in warranty replacements or are they just thinking of the customer (REALLY)!!!!!.

Whats the latest, i hear they are going round the "M" stores trying to blame it on engineers overheating them when installing.

    Regards

    Raymond

    Re: Henry Ball valves

    hi Mark.

Yes we have had several leaking from the stems on brand new stores we have taken over,
We have since cut them out and replaced them.

all on R404a and several different sizes 13/8 and 15/8.

Hope this helps I assumed that had maybe they been overheated on installation , but as we did not install them it was just a guess.

    Homelover,
