    Angry Display fridge

Got a 970 mm display fridge : 973 watts it says at the back, compressor burned out
SC18CL R404a ,R507 .found on google it is 500 watts and 18cm displ. very interesting
combination, small watts and huge displacement.I don't know where to buy the danfoss bitch and i am thinking to replace it with Lunite Her. but this combination seems to slip away CAE9460Z is 1/2 hp 13.3 displ. if i go for CAJ9510Z 1 HP 18.3 displ. very expensive

What i am trying to say is that the danfoss is maybe designed to go down to -18'C
but all i need is just + 5'C nothing else...i simply don't have a table to compare at what temp ,what kw for lunite.....and how much will this affect the fridge if i go for a CAE9460Z

    SAD

    Re: Display fridge

There is a difference between evaporating temperature and roomtemperature, the best is to use the same compressor, i think it's worked well before and the use specifications has'nt been changed.

For info and sale Danfoss in the UK: Dean&Wood (...just google for it, because i can't display the URL)
    for example for Londen:
    London Greenford Branch

Unit 36, Metropolitan Centre, Taunton Road, Greenford, Middlesex. UB6 8UQ

You could also try Climate Centre at Brentford. They also do Danfoss.
    Also United refrigeration ...Park Royal?

    Re: Display fridge

try to avoid comparing compressors using watts and size it up by compressor displacement.
an sc18 danfoss compressor is either 17.8 or 18cc
you should be using something with similar displacement, as some companies use ashrae charts to work out refrigeration capacity (watts) and some use their own charts .. eg. ashrae charts use 32'c liquid temp and some others use 31'c liquid.
the other problem we have in AUS is that operation voltage is 240v 50hz and some euro contries must use 220v 60hz, therefore the compressors run a little slower and most companies, especially the ones that sell euro brands (ACC-HErMETIQUE-ASPERA) generally cut and paste the capicities from the euro charts and its easy to undersize a compressor, especially if you are trying to retrofit another brand.

if you go by displacement you cant go wrong!!

    Partially true.
You should use same displacement and same motor power for that voltage you have, because for motor is not same if compression ratio is 6 or 10!
