    gas boiler flue

Iv'e got six small condensing units to fit on a customers wall..... Limited space but they will just about fit ok.
The problem is adjacent to where the condenser fans discharge, is another wall with a plastic boiler flue.
There is probably 600mm max between the fan grill and the end of the flue, the centre of the fan is 1.5m off the floor and the flue is about the same height..... What are the regulations relating to this?
    Do I have a problem?????

Are you saying that the condenser fans face the boiler flue ?

    Re: gas boiler flue

This is a bit of a tricky one.. If the wall with the boiler flue belongs to a neighbour, then it could be the neighbour with the problem as the plume from the boiler will cross the property boundary and could affect the property on your side of the boundary.. If the wall with the flue belongs to the same person, then you have the problem as the terminal must be sited so that the products of combustion can disperse freely at all times. If the terminal is sited too close to a building obstruction, then the products of combustion may be deflected back in to the air intake duct. Where combustion products are recycled back in to the appliance, then the combustion process is likely to become vitiated..

The solution is not impossible as the manufacturers of most condensing boilers can supply plume management kits which are simply snorkels which can be added to the flue to move the terminal to a more convenient place. But you will need a Registered gas installer to do the work
