meaning of R-19
I just read some specs requiring the application of a blow-in type insulation they called "R-19". Is this "R-19" just the tradename of this product or is it the actual "R" value of the insulation once itīs applied?

Re: meaning of R-19
You should ask the manufacturer to be sure.
Typically whenever someone states the insulation as R-19 it indicates the insulating ability of the material. The other thing you should ask them is: what is the insulation factor over time.
Most insulation ratings are based on a predetermined specification. As insulation ages, it's R value can change (even though it remains dry).If all else fails, ask for help.
