    Unfortunatly YES it has a future, until something better comes along. Whilst it is a very useful gas it can also be a pain in the butt !!!. Blocked tubes, difficult to find leaks with detectors.
    Its the scurge of all gasses, its the one i least like to work with, just look through the forum's many engineers hate it.

    R134a

    hi all
    Following what was said by grabber 01 to name two refrigerants the long term replacement R404A has 4% R134A
    and R407C has 52% R134A .Im afraid yes its here for the duration.
