How to drain and discharge Ammoni/water chiller

I'm operating a 5 ton Robur ammonia/water absorption chiller and i need to do a routine maintenace of the system. The manaul states that i would need to use amonia R 717 7.5 kg and Water H2O 10 kg but it just doesnt quite tell me how to charge them up to the system. Also when I open the outlet valve, which is used to intall a pressure gauge, to drain the Ammonia/water, how would i get rid of all the water that still remains inside ie, rectifier absorber and so on. If anyone is experienced in this field please kindly educate me, thanks

You don't normally need to remove the mixture from the unit.

For example, I once had to remove the evaporator coil which meant cutting the pipework.

All I had to do was de-pressurize the system by venting the vapour under water. The pipes were then cut, the work completed and the pipes reconnected using the specified connectors.

The system was re-pressurized using a pre-mix bottle and the operating pressures restored with the unit running.

You should check with the instruction manual first however.
