Bottle cooler tripping
Hi, i got called to a dump fridge bottle cooler today, that as soon as you switch on trips the breaker.I took the relay off the compressor and it still triped,is it the electrics you would change?Iv wired the fans out,and they run fine,so it isnt them. Then i thought the compressor, but would it still trip when the relay isnt conected? Thanks.

Re: Bottle cooler tripping
If you disconnect everything from the compressor and it doesnt trip then its a good bet it is a faulty comp.
If you pull the electrics off and it trips then its probably a faulty relay or klixon. So yes it sounds like electrics, but make sure theres nothing else on the fridge thats wired up.Last edited by Chunk; 20-06-2008 at 07:01 PM. Reason: baboons bottoms
If it ain't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet.

Re: Bottle cooler tripping
I disconnected the compressor, and both fans ran fine. Then took replay off compressor, still wired up.{nothing connected to comp}.And it tripped again. So would you go down the road of changing, relay clixon, and capasitor? Thanks for your help.
