Expansion Joints in the cold store floor

Though out of many installations, we never faced any probloems due to expaiosn joints in the cold store flooring, in one case since the RCC has shrunk a lite bit near the cold store doors, it had created lots of problems on the Bottom gaskets.

    The Cold store is @ 60 x 40 x 12 M in size. There are Four doors , 2 on each side of 40 m side.

The Architech had no clue on this shrinkages & its effects. Are there any rules / logics on doing the expansions joints in the flooring?

Normally the upper slap is a floting block. It is 150 to 200mm thick and it rests over the isolation bed of poliurethene or polistirene sheet. As you know between the slap and the isolation one instal a polipropilene film 100micrones in order the upper slap slide over the isolation sheet.
When you cool down (very slowly) the cold room, you will have a a litle shrick all around. It is more or less 5 mm.
After the cold room arrive its final temperature we seal the groove with a plastic sealeant for low temperature applications.
    I hope it may help
