Ruptured oil filter
Hi!
A Bitzer screw comp'r. running on R22 in an aircooled chiller called for malfunctioning of unloader mechanism.
Opened at the shop, we found ruptured oil filter. What could be the cause?

Sugestion because we had the same with an oil filter in an oil separator of AC&R
1 st almost completly clogged due to dirth on the filter element itself (paper/mesh..)
2nd rupture of the casing due to excessive out-of- design pressure. It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
