Daikin Controls
In order to provide supplemental heat from a secondary heat source when the outdoor temps are very low, a Daikin VRV-S has an add-on PCB. This board has a set of terminals (YC – Y1) that provides a voltage signal when the indoor temp drops 4*C from the controller set point. This voltage signal would be used to bring in the supplemental heat. The circuit opens back up when the temp has risen 2*C.
Does anyone know whether the 4* value can be changed by the controller to a more reasonable 1 – 2*C drop? Ideally, the circuit would close when the temp in the room dropped 1* and opened again once the temp had risen .5*.
