England's performance is so so :)
It's not the same without Romania in it. :(
Spain looks good, and Czech Republic also. I wish one of these two take the trophy.
Hi,
we are there, but playing with Brasil it seems too hard to win :( , or that was just bad luck, who knows?
Hope we can do better later on :)
Best regards,
Josip :)
Spain played just brilliantly. The Germans however gave us a lack lustre but polished performance.
Brasil were dissapointing, they are like an accelerator pedal, they press down when the pressure is on, otherwise, they are laid back.
England play a well tried, hard game always. With the pressure mounting , things will get a little more exciting now.
Im looking out for the Spaniards, and am wishing England all the way
Strange?
No mention of the Aussies?:D :D
Sorry Temprite
Pat on the back for the Aussies.
They did good, all all credit to them.
Maybe, a team to watch out for in the future as their game matures
I don't follow football but from memory - don't those Aussie guys keep picking the ball up and then run away? :D
You learn something new everyday. After Ghana's win, I overheard "The seppoes are out" in a pub. I got the slang explained to me by a local Brit. :)
Beats me why they were in to begin with..........Quote:

In rhyming slang, the second word rhymes with the objective. Sometimes even this is subject to modification.
In this instance,
Seppoes = Septics = Septic Tanks = Yanks.
i.e. "..the seppoes are out" means 'In the World Cup, the Americans were about to enjoy an early Hamburger'.
England's last game today so make the most of it lads.
Better luck next time.
Chillin:) :)
Thanks Sir Josiah...........
Ok, I understand now..........:) :)
England kick off in just over 2 hours.......... the roads will be dead...............
Just perfect.......Ill take my bike out and go for a spin.......
:) :)

nice one matey,me thinks he,s being a bit "sheepish",come on england !!
England are this years winners......
Ive watched all the games so far, its about temperament.
Brazil have not impressed me, they have a cavalier attitude and their "stars" are a depleted lot way past their prime.
The England team are " primed" superbly and fit the bill.
Can we stop this thread for a minute or two while Im sick....LOL
WTF was that about??????
It was probably the sight of posh that done it....LOL
Chillin:) :)
As luck would have it, I have so many breakdowns and compressor changes.......
Im changing the compressor in the pub......yes at 4 pm tomorrow.
My head will be craned looking at the large screen, and I hope not too much of that yellow stuff gets sloshed on me.
If there's any justice our teutonic cousins will eliminate the gauchos today.....
Unlikely, though.
That " flare up" at the end was a disgrace
Hi,
seems this is European cup football ;)
Best regards, Josip :)
England can hold their heads up High
For over an hour they played with ten men
They played their hearts out
The England team did us proud
Thank you boys
I thought this was worth repeating :DQuote:

Let's ask some other guys about ;)
Best regards, Josip :)
Just for the record, I don't watch football or have any real interest in the sport. However, I was having a "couple" of beers tonight in the nearest hostelry to my abode and happened to see the penalty shoot out. :D
Not calling anyone etc. but - is that the best they can do ?
Played 120 minutes and then it's all decided on penalty kicks?
Come on ! you can't complain if they can't do it in 120 minutes and then start crying because they are now going home.
I'm more concerned about what the WAGS will do now. :D
I have watched a lot of the games this year and I have to say what a load of codswallop. All the teams looked like they were playing for draws. And England, dear god ..... with all that tallent, they have played crap. Someone needs to burst a few English player bubbles and get them to start playing like a team.
what a shower of s**t that game was, i have got two more workshirts, we should and could have wooped them easy , first half it should have been all over, too well paid and bone idle, never mind,be there to support them all over again in four years.
I must admit, I watched the France Brazil game, and the French played superbly
Im just upset because my , my country lost
and, if only Rooney had kept his composure.
Too many if,s
If only Crouch had more support
If only there were more strikers
If only Beckham was not injured

That is where you are wrong my friend. it was never a red card offence. however a certain nameless individual who winked at his coach just afterwards will be made to suffer at the hands of all English fans when he returns to Man U. next season, if not Man u. fans then certainly everone they play. if he comes back LOL.
Enough said.
Hurt somebody's genitals purposelly  , is not for red card :confused:Quote:

Nope.
It was a scruff and the foot just coincidentally found itself in that players box.
Definately not a red card offence

It’s been fun looking at all those flags in the gutter on the motorways’ though ;)
Hey Andy, you and me need to keep quite and let them burn themselves out :D
Football is just a game:) which should bring pleasure not pain.
I bet with my colleague and win 4 canned beer. It's not too bad:p
Come on Guys! Germany is going to be the next world champions, they deserved it after Argentina stole the cup on Mexico `86, I was there!!!
I like argentina most,do you remember 6 to 0?
