Re: Copeland Scroll Compressor
I haven't seen other threads on this but I'm assuming its A/C that you are using it on.
Generally Coefficient of performance (COP) for an average A/C is about 2.5 - 3 which means that refrigeration power is approximately 2.5 - 3 times the kW of the input power in kW. At 240v and 10.2A, Watts = V x I ( 240v x 10.2A). Input power is 2.45kW. Lets work on the lower end of the efficiency and say that the COP is 2.5. Refig power= Input Power x COP (2.45kW x 2.5). Refrig power about 6.1kW.
If you can't find anything, this may get you started.

Is this OK?;)
Attachment 2646
Attachment 2647
What is use for this compressor?
Re: Copeland Scroll Compressor
In answer to your question, check your kettle, it runs at higher amperage than that compressor.
You might need to run it on a separate circuit so that you can put a motor rated circuit breaker in line with it for starting purposes.

Re: Copeland Scroll Compressor
You can find this model's full specification at emersonclimate.com.
However, here is the full specification of that compressor. The correct model number is ZR23K1-PFJ.

You have missed mutiplying V x I by power factor - which for single phase compressor could be 0.85 to 0.9
