You could probably get away with hot gas powered PM valve with Danfoss orifice that can be screwed into bottom of EVM.

Because my previous company has six cold stores operating at a suction temperature of -42°C, they installed a PM40 at suction line one with a pilot valve

Westinghouse BJ425t playing-up

I've got a 20 year old Westinghouse BJ425t Fridge/Freezer. It recently iced-up and now I have to manually defrost it every 2 days or so.

Without watching video, I think you may be referring to a ICLX, or PML, where it is installed to bleed pressure off top of piston

Can be mounted horizontal, or vertical.
Also find some further information on pilot valves
