Would like to know which is the best type of brazing rod to use for joining copper to copper and copper to brass/bronze.

copper to copper- 15% silver
copper to brass- 45% silver
Those have worked well for me if it's a problem. You can use 15% on both but surfaces must be spotless for copper to brass.

35% with reccomemnded flux, works well with disimilar metals as well, like copper to brass or copper to steel or steel to brass.
and definetly agree with big john on 15% copper to copper.

also clean surfaces of both metals and a wonderful thing called flux

Another brand, many of you may already be quite familiar, but worth repeating is ....HARRIS

Available in most parts of world -I 've seen it stocked up in China and over in Vietnam. Very satisfactory.

For general refrigeration use.
Cu to Cu, Silfos 5 , no flux required.
Brass to copper, with flux.
In both cases the joint should be as clean as possible.
