I make vapor phase systems for PC cooling but I have never made a water chiller before, which is what I am about to do. Essentially, it uses a hx to transfer heat from denatured alcohol mixture to refrigerant. Drawing is included.
Anyways, I want to use some r22 compressors I have but I want to regas them to use r404a or similar gas. I dont know what all I have to watch out for, or if the compressor can handle this type of refrigerant in a LBP setting.
Also, instead of a typical air cooled condenser, I will also be employing a water cooled condensing loop. Load will probably be about 400-600w in all.
Specifications:
Model #JRL4-0100-PAA-900
1 HP
11,000 BtuH
115 VAC
60 hz
Single phase
R-22
High Temp
Mounting centers - 4 13/16"W X 8"L
