What type or (brand name) lubrication oil is used for R404A refrigerant.

For R404A you need Ester oil. I've been using ICI Emkarate as it is what the local wholesaler stocks.
Available in three grades/viscosities 32,46,68 dependant on the type of compressor used and the temperatures you are running at.
Some compressor manufacturers recomend thier own brand of oil for certain compressors (special additives).
Phone up the compressor manufacturer or their distributor and see what they recomend.

The unit is cooling up -10 degree centigrade with semi hermetic Copland compressor

Hi, kothari, you can use ester oil such as EAL, Arctic, 22CC, Emkarate RL 32H and so on.
