You will find a lot of informations within this forum. All that you have to do is browse through the threads and you will have much more informations than a book.

for a good start, i feel you should get hold of Air Conditioning basic principles then work on further.
for instance, carrier has a very good old handbook which talks about air side, water side, equipment.
i feel after you get the basic idea/s, to accelerate .. you will have sufficient foundations to do that.
Other references are very much exclusive to Member only like IAR, IIAR, ASHRAE and so on ...

its an excellent book , i have this one , got it off amazon.com , about 800pages
but its basic level refrigeration
