Hello I have a question. It may not belong here if not please move it where it needs to be (besides the recycle bin:D ) I am building a carbonator on the cheap. I have the right pressure vessels and fittings. My idea is to use a 7 cubic foot chest freezer and fill it with water to submerge the carbonation tanks and have a submersible pump to agitate the water so it will not freeze except for the edges. Basically an ice bank chiller. I calculated the weight of water for 7 cubic feet to be somewhere around 445 pounds. Can a chest freezer take that much water? I am thinking that a chest freezer filled with beef or deer would have the same weight. I do not have the equipment nor a CFC liscence (YET) to build a system ground up. Thanks T.

well long as you give it plenty of time to form Ice it aut to handle it no problem, it just takes longer for it to pull down to a given temp once it builds and ice sheet you're good to go
