Hi Everyone...
Just wondering if anyone has tried any of the new drop in replacements for R22?
About 60 percent off all the eqipment i work on is still on R22 and as this is now being phased out ive oviously got alot of work to do!!
I have all the info on the new gasses but they all have slightly different properties and it seems its down to us to choose the one we think is best!!! why the cant decide amoung themselves and reccommend one i dont know!! but anyway rambling aside i was wondering if anyone has tried any of them and has any input on them?

The equipment i work on is mainly crop storage and wharehouse systems typically 20-40 hp units, open drive/semi bitzers and copelands, evaporating around -6 running at temps of 0-8 c

Any help would be apprietiated thanks

Hi chillUK

Yep we went through the same dilema a couple of years ago on a lot of chilled plant. In the end we took a look at the availabilty of the new drop ins and decided to switch to R59.

Most of the plants had no trouble at all but a few needed valve adjustments not bad for a drop in. The charges altered slightly by between 7 and 10%
