Foster commando pack

Anyone remember the Foster commando pack from about 20 years ago, well I have one with a faulty compressor which I shall be changing next week, now I have a question. The system is a capillary system and has a liquid solenoid valve but not on pump down, and an hot gas solenoid valve. When it goes on defrost should the liquid solenoid valve close down so just the hot gas valve is energised, there is no wiring diagram with the unit and for the life of me I can not remember. The time clock has been replaced recently and I just want to confirm the wiring before fitting the comp. The compressor is 3/4 hp if it helps.

your spot on the liquid valve is closed while on defrost and when unit reaches temp. Not meant to be pump down it just stops the flow of refrigerant liquid back to the compressor in the off cycle.
