Good Day,

I have extensively searched the internet for information regarding the newly installed ammonia system. I am inquiring about the required pressure for conducting a leak test and the recommended duration for the system to stand during the leak test.
Additionally, I am seeking information on the vacuum procedure and NH3 charge procedure. I would greatly appreciate it if you could share the relevant details here.

Thank you.

Hi
First system should be dry by N2 or dry air.

As much as you can system should be vacuumed
Time of that 24 h up to 48 hours

For testing system leak in system should be 1.5 times more than high pressure for NH3 about 25 bars for 48 hours

Thank you for responding to my comment,
The next step is to charge ammonia into the system. Kindly share the details in sequence.
Thanks.

Hi
Liquid NH3 should charge to liquid separator
smoothly
And in same time check leaks and smell of NH3 in all areas.

Shaaf, with all respect, I suggest that if you are not familiar with the procedures of pressure testing, or especially charging ammonia into the system, you need to find or hire someone who is, and not rely on the generic information you will receive from this forum. Both of those procedures are inherently dangerous and potentially deadly.

Best regards,
