Both would do the job but for that duty my preference would be for a semi hermetic compressor.

Hopefully some more knowledgeable members will offer some opinions too!

How many years does the system need to last before being replaced?

In Iran, is it easier to get spare parts to repair a recip
or is it easier to get a full replacement scroll compressor?

both are same

mainly I use screw compressor ( NH3 & R-F )

unfortunately I could not find small size of that .( I need 23KW @ -5/ 30 )

so moved to other type of compressor

How many run hours are the Scroll compressors and the Recips designed to last for?

Then compare that against the system life expectancy.

Hi Seanf

It runs 24h a day 7 day a week

Hi MBC,

Sorry I mean,

For the Scroll compressors, how many years do Bitzer say they will run before they die and need replaced?

And for the Recips, how many years do Bitzer say they will run before they need new parts? Like bearings or an oil pump.

Bitzer's design life span for their compressors.

Hope that translates a bit easier.

Hi Seanf

Thanks a lot.

I do not know and have not any idea about life of parts in does compressors,
and have not seen and read documents of those . hope if you have to send it to me .

I Know about Screws and time of bearing we should change them

Again thanks

I could not find the documents either.

I would go with the Recip, then the customer has both option, to repair or to replace.

Semi-hermetic Reciprocating Compressors offer easy serviceability but may generate noise and have lower efficiency.

Scroll Compressors are known for being quiet, energy-efficient, and requiring minimal maintenance, although they may not have the longest lifespan.

Screw Compressors are particularly well-suited for larger systems.

If noise and space aren't a concern, and durability and ease of repair are a priority, I would lean towards reciprocating compressors.
