Good day to All.
I hope you're doing well. I'm looking for manuals on overhauling screw compressors, like Sabroe, Frick, and Bitzer. I want to understand twin screws, their bearings, and the balance piston in detail. I've done regular maintenance on Frick and Sabroe before, but I'm curious about the deeper aspects of these machines. If you have any experiences or manuals to share, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks a lot!
Best regards,

shaaf.
Here is some information, for manuals you need to be more specific of exact models etc.
Most refrigeration screw compressors have a "balance piston" or "thrust reducing piston"
Male rotor rotates faster, so has more thrust.
To reduce load on thrust bearings a hydraulic force (oil pressure) is applied to a piston pushing it in opposite direction
Discharge pressure forces rotors towards suction end of compressor, balance piston pushes towards discharge end,
Machines without balance piston usually have more thrust bearings to handle extra loads.

Sir
Thank you so much for replying. Silly question is male rotor has 4 or 5 lubes and female rotor
has 6 lubes.
please explain for me thanks.

Check this, basically about efficiency with different rotor profiles.
4/6, 5/6, 5//7 etc
