Hi folks,
Wonder if anyone has any experience of doing central control on multiple Panasonic splits? I'm not particularly familiar with Panasonic and seem to have hit a brick wall.
For context, there are 6 splits over this building; PZH2 outdoor units; it's 1:1 outdoor to indoor units, each indoor unit having its own CZ-RTC5 controller.
Have got a CZ-64ESMC3 central controller (CZ from this point!) to install - there is 2 core shielded wire running between each indoor unit.
The wiring instructions in the installation manual for this unit get a bit ambiguous when it comes to interunit wiring with the indoor/outdoor units.
With u1, u2 & functional earth linking all units in sequence starting with the CZ, I get E08 UNIT 1-1 errors on each device. At this point, I simplified things and broke it down to troubleshoot:
Started with CZ linked to the first indoor unit only - it assigns the unit and is able to control it. When I add the interlink to the second indoor unit, the E08 errors happen again, CZ not detecting any units.
After this I tried taking the link from the central controller to the outdoor unit first, with an interlink between the first and second outdoor units - same issue.
It is clear that the separate units all have an ID of 1-1, which is obviously conflicting, but I can't seem to get them to assign themselves different IDs, or find a way to do it manually - from the way that the units behave on power up (including the CZ), I'd expect it to do some auto addressing based on what they can detect around them?
Am I way off the mark here, am I missing something painfully obvious?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
