Hi

I am having trouble with one these units not ramping up. Has anyone got the temperature characteristics of these units?

Or any service manuals to view the temperatures?

Thanks

Any ideas what range this might be?

181 k ohms @ 28 degrees

Hi Ledoy,
Did you get this problem sorted yet?
No idea what mean 'temperature characteristics of these units'.
There are two types of internal temperature thermistors (sensors) generally used in Samsung systems:

High Temp or 204CT type (used for the discharge pipe off the compressor)
20°C = 242k ohms
25°C = 200k ohms
60°C - 59k ohms
100°C = 18.5k ohms

Normal Temp or 103AT type (used pretty much for all the other sensors in the AC system indoor & outdoors)
10°C = 18k ohms
21°C = 12.1k ohms
40°C = 5.8k ohms
70°C = 2.2ohms

If you have access to Samsung's service software called S-NetPro (not S-NetPro2 thats for newer units) or can get it, it will help you loads.

Thanks for this Loops

I suspect an indoor has an issue with its thermistors or a kinked pipe.. one indoor just won’t cool as much as the others. I was looking for the temperatures/ resistance of the sensors which you mentioned! Thanks

I haven’t got access to the software however kinda git some useful info off the OD control board.

I got the pulses at the indoor at 90% however stil not cooling sir
I’m thinking a restricted pipe.

Thanks mate.

You can buy sam cheap USB to Rs 485 converter (for example https://www.waveshare.com/usb-to-rs485.htm) ,and download samsung S net pro 2 softwear for free (https://www.samsunghvac.com/Software-Downloads/SNET-Pro2), and you can monitor all samsung HVAC systems.
I have both converters (original S-Converter MIM-C02N and this cheap) and it work fine.
Look this video.

Jero,
I don't think S-NetPro2 is compatible with this older pre-NASA system.
I maybe wrong but if you have wired room controllers with four connections S-NetPro2 won't work, you will need the earlier version S-NetPro.
But if you have two connections to the wired controller S-NetPro2 should be fine.
Cheers

I have installed s net pro but I never used it (it is a free software), the old version of Samsung don't work with s net pro 2 (for example 7 year old split system). But it is a free software so if snet pro 2 is not able to connect just try with s net pro.
Sorry for me bad english I am from Croatia. :o
