Interconnecting cable regs

Hi,

Is there anyone who can help with a query regarding interconnecting cable being run along with A/C pipework, as is standard practice across the board.. An electrical tester has snagged/failed an A/C installation during 5 year fixed wiring checks despite the building having had AC for 15 years.

Is there a new directive, coz I can't find anything explicitly ruling out the practice.

Any advice appreciated.

Not sure but they might be confusing refrigerant gas with natural gas as used in cooking and heating.

They can't fail it if it was installed to current but now out of date regs.

The only new reg change in the last few years I know of is that cables in certain areas such as fire escapes need to be secured with non flammable fixings so stainless steel tie wraps and metal clips.

But they can't retrospectively fail it for older regulations.

Ask him to quote the regulation he thinks the installation doesn't comply with.
