Component Selection Guide

Hello all, new to RE.
I've downloaded the Danfoss Coolselector2, and have used it a bit. It's helpful, but obviously limited in that it only shows Danfoss components. Is there other software that works similarly, or if I'm looking for specific components do I need to google around and dig into each manufacturer's site?

I would be surprised if there is something out there.
Usually you would have your own favourite brands/suppliers, depends what sector you are referring too.

Thanks for the info. Hmm guess it does look like for component selection, going to lots of different supplier catalogs is the current way to operate.
