Dear colleagues

We are starting a overhauled GRAM HC 8 100 compressor for a block ice making plant. while starting we noticed that the oil pressure doesn't raise to common limit. we tried changing the oil pump which doesn't solve the issue.

I would like to know if anyone could help me on that.
I also want to know if anyone have service manual and troubleshooting docs.

any comment is appreciated.

Regards

12embo,
Check your email.
Did you change oil filter in crankcase with a new one?

Try adjusting oil pressure regulator

Are gauges accurate
Liquid in crankcase

Manual recommends minimum oil pressure trip switch set 2.5 bar
Oil pressure set 3 to 3.2 bar

Yesterday helping the docs u provide we followed the oil canals and find out that the seal side main bearing has been misplaced so the canal is not adjusted correctly and oil cannot trip from there.
Now we are changing the bearing and checking the whole path. Do u have Any idea that why the bearing misplaced? How to avoid happening this again?

Try to check oil channels within crank shaft ...
can be blocked with old oil and kind of metal mud ...
have been there with another compressor ....

Misplaced bearing ... probably due to missing knowledge of the service shop
... reason ... probably very cheap offer for overhaul which can be very expensive later on ...
happen quite often with very cheap service ...
