About a year ago we got in a shop brand new set of refrigeration and there were no issues until recently. We had to move condenser from ground level to the roof and compressor to the basement. Freezers and walk-ins are at ground level.

Thats when we noticed freezers to work much louder and we started getting noise complaints. Noise measurements point at the freezers.

Our technician insist nothing can be done without replacing the freezers, but I find it strange there was no issues with them before the change to condenser and compressor.

Would you guys have any advice or idea where can be the problem here?

It could be noise caused by gas pulsations in the discharge pipe work to the condenser plus the condenser fans running at full speed can be extremely noisy . It may be worth fitting discharge mufflers to the discharge pipes to stop any pulsations as the act like a silencer, also you could fit fan speed controls to the condenser fans this often helps to quieten the condensers as the fans slow down .Also make sure the compressors and condensers and associated pipe work have anti vibration mounts fitted to prevent any noise being transmitted through the building structure

Would it be heard in freezers only?

Condenser side is quiet.
