i have the option to choose between,

LG
Samsung
Hitachi
Panasonic
Whirlpool

it is going to be 1.5 ton split AC.
Which brand is recommended?

Everyone has their own opinion based on experience or research.
At the end of the day it comes down to your budget. Cheap chinese systems will work as will higher end brands. If I say that LG is not for me, it is guaranteed that someone else will come along and say that LG has been good for them.
