Single-Screw Air Compressor

Hi there,

I'm looking for the following solution / product:
- Single-screw air compressor
- Two stage
- Oil-free
- 40bar
- ~50kW (~4 m3/min)
- 400V / 50Hz / 3-Phase
- Variable Speed Drive
- Water cooled

Does anybody know a supplier that can offer something that fits these criteria, something similar or some alternatives?

and one additional topic: What efficiency do you expect for these type of compressors and pressue level? I think 10 kW/(m3/min) should be possible (corresponding to 63% isothermal / exergetic efficiency). what do you think?

Hi Thomasb

Although there are very many similarities between air compressors and refrigeration compressors
for us to understand how they work, unfortunately the refrigeration compressor is too dissimilar to
the air compressor for us to be able to recommend one.

I'm sure there are people who work on them and could debate the benefits of one type over another
but because this is a refrigeration site you will struggle to get the answers you want.

I think you would be better off finding somewhere that deals wholly with air compressors, I'm sure they
are out there.
