Hi All

I am working on Carrie Freezer, which when I got here was operating @ 10psi Suction pressure and 150psi Discharge cabin temp setpoint @-18 deg and suction side service valve and part of the compressor iced up, system struggling to pull down to temp
I thought the system was undercharged and topped up about 2.5kg of 134a now system running @ 1 - 2psi Suction and 230psi Discharge. DOES THIS SOUND RIGHT!

New to reefers, Help Please! Thanks in advance.

Just checked the system and discharge is sitting @ 300psi and suction still @1psi and valve still frosted, I hope that's not too high.
If someone let me know if I am on the right path, would be much appreciated. Thanks

Fridgy01,
Sounds overcharged & evaporator iced up, or fan not working probably.
Who in Australia talks PSI, pretty old school.
Look at pressure temperature chart & you will see saturated condensing temperature of nearly 60 deg C
So condenser fairly full of liquid I would say.
What was & what is room temperature, as suction was 10psi (-14 C) now 1 psi (-24 C)
