Electronic can flood back if set wrong or fail so the main advantage is better control and
they respond faster.

With a traditional thermostatic valve the open / close cycle is over about 6 DegsC (or 6K)
so there is always a delay or a lag in response to the valve opening and closing. The 6K diff
gives added protection against flood back.

With an electronic valve that differential can be reduced to less than 1 DegC (1K) so they
are far more responsive.
