Hello, everyone. Yesterday on a Carrier 30HXC110. Compressor failure after a fuse failure. All 6 100A fuses blown. The compressor has gotten so hot that it has dissolved the insulation from the cables on it down to the copper. The temperature sensor for hot gas has dissolved and the discharge line looks as if it has been annealed. The temperature sensor of the winding has not triggered, the contactor contacts show normal wear and the power cables to the compressor also look normal. I suspect a lack of lubrication or a control error, as the first memory entry was UNABLE TO SHOT DOWN. Has anyone seen anything like this? Micha
