expansion valve

Hi guys,

We have air handling unit (A/C system) and a thermostatic expansion valve.
We have to fasten thermostatic bulb of expansion valve on suction pipe or should put bulb in drift of DX coil air outlet ?

Which one is correct ?

The bulb should be fastened to the suction pipe in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.

It should be fixed on the suction line and has to be insulated so as to operate on right super heat
