How much compressor oil?

I salvaged a 1/4 hp R134a compressor from a recycle centre. It runs smoothly and quietly, but I want to add new POE oil as it's been open to atmosphere for an unknown amount of time. As all 1/4hp reciprocal compressors are roughly the same size, someone must have an idea of how much oil it takes? It was upside down when I found it, so please don't suggest that I just replace it with the same amount that came out as I don't know how much of the oil was lost.

Check with the manufacturer's data sheet, they should have that info, not always but be hopeful.
