Does anyone know if a UEI HA1 compressor analyzer works on 230V 50Hz 1ph.

Well the adverts say dual voltage 110/230 so I would think so.

I know, but the americans have some strange voltages.
Like 110V and 208V. Which i thought could be the dual valtage. I'm planing on using it in Denmark.

Just found an old manual for the HA1. Where it says just to change the power cord with one with the correct plug,

After reading the manual, one more time. I think that 240VAC is the american split phase (120-N-120).
Because reading the manual, it says that when connecting to the compressor on 240VAC. The white/neutral will be hot. On 230V Europe, the Neutral will not be hot.

In the USA spilt phase (two phases of 120 volt) the white/neutral is at ground potential, but carries current.
The current it carries is the difference between the two phases, which is caused by 120 volt loads in the equipment.
Their is (or was) an exception for a clothes drier or an electric range. They were permitted to have the appliance grounded to the neutral. This is no longer the case.

Thank you for reply.
How do you suggest, that i wire it. 110 or 240.
If i use 110, i think it should be the same as european 230V (L-N-E).
Sorry for maybe asking stupid questions. I came across the device and thought it's a must have. I do know how to measure the start device, the coils inside the compressor and of course to ground :-).
But if you have a faulty start device, you can't be sure it's not locked. That's why i think it's a great tool.
