Sanhua oil separators

Anyone know the internal design of these separators?
Found one that is piped backwards.
I know I should correct it, but comp seems to have been keeping sufficient oil for the few months this has clearly been installed.
Just after opinions, Ideas etc, - I will likely change it, but??
