Friends.

I HAVE A COMPRESSOR GEA FES (GRASSO) 800 GLX, THAT DOES NOT HAVE OIL PRESSURE OVER 2 BAR.
REPLACES OIL FILTERS, PUMP ROTATION AND ALL LUBRICATION SYSTEM VALVES (HYDRAULIC BLOCK).
I PLACED THE MANOMETER OF THE SYSTEM AND AFTER CONNECTING THE PUMP HAS A 2 BAR FALL IN THE OIL CIRCUIT AND AFTER THE COMPRESSOR CONNECTING LOSES MORE OIL PRESSURE 2 BAR.
TURNING OFF LOW OIL PRESTS COULD HELP ME

Diego,
After all your checks, consider adjusting oil pressure regulator on OMC block.
Have found them a bit strange to adjust, as do not seem as simple as turning clockwise a bit.
Assume oil temperature okay?
Only need to set to 3 bar once you get it sorted.
Maybe also try to vent any gas of top of filter housing.

It can be worn out balance piston or/and journal bearings. Check piston first.

We performed overhall in the block replacing bearings, bearings and piston and balancing shirt. There is a pressure drop in the 2 bar block. Does it have the value of the clearance of the shirt and the bearing for me to take some doubts?

I adjusted the regulator to 3 bar. Oil temperature rises on departure but acceptable, the stranger losing 3 bar after departure. Overhall the compressor. We cannot identify where oil is losing!

Diego,
Most GEA have split oil circuit after oil filter.
Oil filter to oil pump to bearings
Oil filter to oil injection stop/check valve

Oil injection valve adjust for correct discharge temperature (80 deg C).

If there is a pressure drop between oil pump pressure transducer & compressor oil connection, is there any valves or connections that could restrict oil flow?

Some questions Diego,
did the oil pressure issue appear after or before overhall?
this unit was built in year ????
I presume it's operating with ammonia

ammonia, pressure problem before and after the revision. Built by Fes 2012

Diego,
I suppose that this unit is fitted with an OMC block.

in position 75 the oil pressure regulating valve in January 2012 the spring strength had been increased in order to optimize the adjustment position of the valve. Before this sometimes fluctuating oil pressure had been reported.

I Don't know if this does matter in your case.
If I understand correctly, when ou run the pump without the compressor the oïl pressure is OK
when you start the compressor the oïl pressure fail.
does the oïl pressure decrease when pressure difference LP/HP increase?
did you change the oïl pump? I have seen a replacemed pump on a large Grasso Unit. They replaced a KF3-112 by a KF3-80. same design, a bit longuer… attached pict. changed the 80 by a new 112 problem solved, tens of people missed it.15640

Oil flow / pressure diff when oïl pump is too small: oïl flow requested increase up to the max capacity of the pump. When reached oïl pressure fail

Hello, the oil pressure has no fluctuation! It falls off gradually after starting the compressor.
The compressor was overhalled following all GEA GRASSO tolerances.
The block and OMC built by FES USA, has some marks on the valve body 080 and 070 return of the compressor.

Do you have spare parts for the GEA GRASSO V30 compressor?

I can only advise you to dismount and check the oïl pressure regulator 75 + the oïl pump for wear.
pump supply only sleeve bearings, thrust bearing and shaft seal. you need a lot of damages to undergo an internal oïl leak.
this kind of issue is usually coming from operating conditions, lack of oïl, pré-filter and then oïl regulator or oïl pump.

I'm from GEA, your country is not in our area.

We performed the replacement of this valve already, there was no change in pressure, This same valve was installed in another OMC and works normally.

Diego,
Can you explain these readings a bit more please & where you are taking reading with manometer.
Also what is oil & discharge temperature
suction & discharge pressure
oil pump model & speed

Do you have enough literature on compressor, OMC & oil pump?

Hello, I installed a pressure gauge in the valves that measure the suction pressure of the oil pump (the same as the discharge pressure) and another point after the pump in the same OMC block. The discharge pressure 9.30 Bar, oil inlet pressure 9.30, pump 1750 RPM. The literature I have and little else in the manual and now that they have sent a drawing. If I have more information I will be very grateful.
