Just looking to see if anyones literate in capacitor jargon.
Interested to know what it all means. Well mainly whats going on with the 0.22uf+2x2200ufpf x1y2+1Mohm.

Thanks

Well seeing the earth connection this looks like a capacitor to reduce interference.
If you are old enough you will recall TV adverts trying to get you to suppress all items of interference from drills and vacuum cleaners etc causing problems with TV sets.
I guess the issues these days are with high Tech comms systems that suffer from locally generated electronic noise.
I don't claim any expertease in this field but I would like to hear from those who are knowledgeable in this field

From what Ive found so far Im thinking its three capacitor in one body, maybe with a bleed resistor in there as well.

Thinking,

The 0.22uF is an X1 class connected L-N
Then two 2200pF Y2 class connected L-E and the other N-E
1MOhm resistor in parallel with the 0.22uF

But thats a guess.

Cheers

These are made mandatory by law to stop switching electrical noise generated in device relais and motor comutator etc.. to enter grid.
We call them here RSO filter!
