Ramco K57 thermostat replacement

My integrated fridge freezer thermostat appears to be faulty. AEG says that the thermostat is obsolete and they cannot offer any replacement. Can anybody recommend the correct replacement? I see lots of universal thermostats but the price range is huge so I feel I am not understanding something important.

Current faulty thermostat is Ranco K57l5551 with 120cm capillary. See attached photo. AEG replaced this with K57L5825 but this is also now obsolete.

If you need to search note that the spelling of your codes...
AEG model is SC81843I. (the last is a capital i not figure 1)
AEG PNC 925705652 (00 or 01)

Ranco K57I5551 (it is a capital i after the 7)

Thanks. Unfortunately while eSpares web site shows this stock as available it is not. They just cancelled my order. So I'm back to needing a replacement thermostat for this obsolete model.
