Hey guys
I’ve got a 120volts to 24volts transformer ..I need to ground the secondary 24 volts side, but there’s no indication on the transformer or from the manufacturer on which wire to ground on the secondary 24 volts side ..which one of the two wires do i ground on the 24 volt side of the transformer..?

Thanks

It should not normally matter which one you choose, as you have 24volt AC. However, it would be best to check the wiring diagram of the equipment and find out which 24volt terminal feeds the common of the components. Then choose this one to ground. It may already be grounded elsewhere or indicated on the wiring diagram with an earth symbol.

Hi
If it is insulated transformer it should not grounded
In this case only body of transformer should be grounded
If it is not the insulated transformer
And your out put is AC it those not matter witch one grounded
If you out put is a DC then - should be grounded
But it give you noise in DC Systems
